Post-Patch suggestions

First I want to make clear that this isn't criticism, this game is a beta right now so it is supposed to have issues. These are help/suggestions.

Lee-Enfield SMLE has a 10 round magazine.
Grenades don't throw that well and aren't too useful, sometimes automatically throw when holding down too.
Tracers were not invented untill WWII era. All weapons in this game have tracers.
You cannot see your HUD with your gasmask on, so you can't see ammo, health or any other vital info.
I think the sights aren't exactly lined up correctly. The actual crosshair point is a bit lower than the sights I have noticed.

Modeling/animation issues
Hand around the Stick Handgrenade isn't wrapped around well, and the grenade itself is a bit too large and clunky looking.
Lee-Enfield SMLE's bolt only pulls back like an inch, it pulls back more. Also the hand motions isn't done well, only pulls it back with finder tips.
Webley Revolver's cylinder does not rotate when being fired, the rim on the .455 round goes through the cylinder on the model aswell.
Maybe instead of using a sprite for the telescope deal make a model of it, so you can see peripherals too and so it looks less 2-dimensional.
The animations of TT for putting in the stripper clips were done very well, but in this game its just kind of quickly thrown on, and doesn't feed the clip into the slot really. It doesn't look very good.

Addon suggestions.
Officers should have a whistle to notify soldiers to go up-and-over the trenches, I think that would be cool.
Maybe a C96 in the game would be cool?
The map somme is very beta looking, you can see where the ground ends and you just see the sky box beneath.

That was the intention.

I don't understand why though. If you got shot in real life you would know where you got hit even with a gasmask on, in this game it doesn't. Same as checking your bandoleer for ammo and what not.

As stated somewhere in another thread, it's to make the gasmasks feel stuffy and claustrophobic, or at least as much as it can without the game requiring you to put an actual gasmask on.

IMO it does it's job perfectly.

This. Also, gas masks back then didn't have as wide or clear of eye-pieces as modern-day gas masks do, making your vision a lot shittier than it would be if you were wearing, say, the widely-used M40. And just be happy they don't have the gas mask affect your aiming; looking down the sights with a bulky gas mask on is awkward as fuck.

Even todays mask completely mess up the soldier behind them. I was in the Marines until last year when I completed my enlistment. Thank God I never had to fight for real with that thing on or I wouldnt be talking to you all today. You cant aim! No cheek weld. You have to literally hold your rifle in front of you (not aiming, i mean almost straight arm so it lines up perfectly with your nose) and pull the trigger. Even worse for me I was a SAW gunner. Hell if I could shoot that thing like that!

Im not a fan of the disappeared HUD while mask are on either. Every time I put on my mask I go through 1-3 magazines/bandoleers because I lose count and play it safe. But, it sure adds to that "crap" feeling of going up against someone else without a mask on. So, besides killing new players who dont understand why they are choking, the gas attacks need to help your team somehow.

I have an M17 gasmask I know you don't use those anymore they were phased out after the gulf war. But I have tried aiming one of my rifles and stuff with it on and yeah it doesn't make anything easy. But you are always able to check your ammo and feel and see where you have been shot even with a WW1 era mask on. I think the muffled sound and tunnel vision they set for the gas mask is enough to give you that claustrophobic feeling in this game you don't need to take away the HUD.
